Local media has been given permission to release a video showing a very crowded swimming pool at a water park in northern China. The video was recorded on August 7 in the city of Daqing, Heilongjiang Province. It shows thousands of tourists tightly packed together in the pool, using inflatable rubber rings.
A person named Liu, who was at the park with his family, witnessed the scene. An employee of the water park, interviewed by Heilongjiang Television, mentioned that such overcrowding is common during weekends and holidays. To ensure safety, the water park has put restrictions on the number of visitors allowed at a time.
