It was revealed Sunday morning that a one-month-old leopard cub and an eight-month-old juvenile tiger were allegedly kidnapped from a private zoo in Karachi’s Gadap.
Dr. Shahid Jalil, a zoo veterinarian, filed a complaint with the Gadap police, and an inquiry into the robbery has begun. When the doctor arrived at work on January 6 and checked the animal cages, he discovered that the pups of a tiger and a jaguar were missing.
The zoo’s closed-circuit television camera footage revealed that the night supervisor had been gone from duty since 3 a.m., according to the vet. The doctor believed the robbery was committed by the night supervisor.
