Toyota is releasing the Hilux GR Sport II, a vehicle designed for international markets, set to be available in 2024. This version of the GR Sport builds on the Hilux’s success at the Dakar Rally and offers the best towing and payload capacity in its class at 3,500 kg and 1,000 kg, respectively.
It features various improvements like a wider track, enhanced stability, reduced noise, and better suspension and brakes for a more comfortable ride.
Under the hood, it boasts a 2.8L turbodiesel engine with 204 hp and 500 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.
On the outside, you’ll notice distinctive design elements like a black grille, sidestep, mirrors, and GR SPORT logos, along with red coil springs, black over-fenders, and 17-inch black alloy wheels.
Inside the cabin, there are sporty red accents, GR-badged suede and leather sport seats, and a Toyota Smart Connect multimedia system with an 8-inch touchscreen display.
Technical improvements include a new monotube suspension, larger front and rear disc brakes, a better approach angle, and increased ground clearance, ensuring a smoother and more stable driving experience.
