The traffic police in Lahore have declared that licenses will be cancelled for drivers engaged in traffic infractions to prevent accidents in the city.
In a statement, Muntanzar Mehdi, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO), Lahore, said that violators of one-way traffic laws risk stringent actions.
He called the one-way violation a ‘suicide,’ adding that traffic guards have been deployed in the city to severely enforce its rules. The Punjab administration agreed earlier this month to enhance considerably the penalty imposed on infringements of road traffic.
