Two Friends in Australia Turn Their Van into a Laundry Service for the Homeless

Orange Sky Laundry is a special laundry service in Australia for homeless people. It was started by friends Lucas Patchett and Nicholas Marchesi. They saw that homeless people really needed a way to wash their clothes and stay clean.

They got the idea to use an old white van and put washers and dryers inside. They also had a portable generator to power everything. With this setup, they could wash about 20 kilograms of laundry every hour. They started this in July 2014.

This made it easy for homeless people to wash and dry their clothes regularly because the laundry van comes to them. It’s a helpful and convenient way for homeless individuals to take care of their laundry needs.
