An American F-16 crashed in South Korea, the pilot managed to get out of the plane safely.
A U.S. F-16 fighter jet crashed near a military base in South Korea on Saturday during a training flight.
The U.S. military confirmed the crash, saying the plane, intended for the eighth fighter wing, crashed in the fields near Osan Air Base at around 10 a.m. on Saturday.
According to us military sources, the pilot safely ejected from the plane during the crash, which has been transferred to the local medical center, while no casualties were reported as a result of the accident.
South Korean authorities said local rescue teams rushed to the scene and firefighters extinguished the fire.
According to US officials, the pilot on board the plane was on a routine training flight, but an investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the accident.
