UAE Announces New Golden Visa Scheme for Teachers

UAE has unveiled a new Golden Visa program to support teachers and school leaders in private schools, aiming to strengthen its education sector. This initiative is part of Ras Al Khaimah’s strategy to attract skilled professionals and enhance the quality of education in the region.

The program offers long-term residency to eligible educators, including principals, vice-principals, and teachers working in private schools in Ras Al Khaimah. This move highlights the UAE’s commitment to recognizing the contributions of educators to society and creating a more stable and inclusive community for them.

To qualify for the Golden Visa, applicants must meet specific requirements. These include at least three years of living and working in Ras Al Khaimah, holding an advanced degree relevant to their role, and demonstrating a measurable positive impact on their school’s performance. Required documents include an official appointment letter, proof of qualifications, and evidence of contributions to school improvement.

The application process, managed by the Ras Al Khaimah Department of Knowledge (RAK DOK), is free of charge for the initial eligibility review. Successful applicants can also sponsor their immediate family members, including spouses, children, and parents, for long-term residency in the UAE.

Open to educators of all nationalities, the Golden Visa program reflects Ras Al Khaimah’s vision of fostering a vibrant, world-class educational environment. By attracting exceptional teaching talent, the initiative aims to elevate the emirate’s educational standards while providing long-term security for educators and their families.
