UAE astronaut Sultan Al Neyadi recently shared a stunning picture of Dubai at night taken from space. The photo shows famous places like The Palm Jumeirah, Jebel Ali, and residential areas like Jumeirah Village Circle. Dr. Al Neyadi expressed his admiration for Dubai’s brightness compared to the stars in the sky on Twitter. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, the Crown Prince of Dubai, also shared the photo and highlighted the country’s remarkable achievements. He found the image awe-inspiring and believed it represented both the country’s exceptional accomplishments on Earth and in space.
Dr. Al Neyadi is currently on a six-month mission and recently made history as the first Arab to do a spacewalk. Alongside his American colleague Stephen Bowen, they successfully completed an important maintenance task during the six-and-a-half-hour spacewalk. Their responsibilities included preparing a structure outside the space station for a future installation of a solar array.
