Uganda Captain Brian Masaba Steps Down after Team’s Early Exit from T20 World Cup

Brian Masaba, the captain of Uganda’s cricket team, made the decision to step down after leading the team for five years. This came in the aftermath of Uganda’s early exit from the T20 World Cup held in the Americas.

During the tournament, Uganda managed to secure victory in only one match against Papua New Guinea, ending up in fourth place in Group C with a total of two points.

Despite facing limited opportunities on the international stage, the 32-year-old all-rounder, known for his ability in both fast and spin bowling, has participated in 63 T20 International matches.

Throughout his career, Masaba has contributed significantly, taking 24 wickets and scoring 439 runs. His leadership and multifaceted skills have played a crucial role in Uganda’s cricketing journey.
