Unilever Pakistan partners with Ismail Foundation to ensure access to clean water in Rahim Yar Khan

Saving and purifying water for drinking has always been a tough challenge for underprivileged communities; however, Pakistani corporate giants like Ismail Industries and Unilever Pakistan work towards saving people from the adverse effects of drinking contaminated water.

According to the official report, recently on Friday, 22 of October, these two organizations have signed an MOU to start the operations and collectively work towards overcoming the water-borne diseases in communities that don’t have access to clean drinking water.

It has also been unveiled that Unilever Pakistan has collaborated with Ismail Foundation to install a RO plant which will be a source of clean drinking water plants in common drinking water areas at Rahim Yar Khan.

Ismail industries is a Pakistani food manufacturing company that operates under the brand name Candyland Bisconi and SnackCity. The group also own AstroPack and Hudson Pharma.

Not only this but another successful initiative of Ismail group “Ismail Foundation” is serving as a non-profit organization that is committed to improving the lives of people living in underprivileged communities. This foundation started its WASL (water and sanitation logistics) project that is serving with an aim of providing low-cost, high-quality safe drinking water to the local Pakistanis.

The access of clean drinking water is one of the biggest health challenges in Pakistan today. The government, corporate and social sector have to work hand in hand to address this crisis for a better healthier and prosperous Pakistan.
