Universities of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Are the Most Costly in Pakistan: Chairman HEC

Dr. Tariq Banuri, chairman of the Higher Education Commission, declared Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government universities to be the costliest in the country on Friday, blaming excessive spending and overstaffing.

He was speaking at a high-level meeting on the administrative and financial challenges facing public universities, which was held at the Governor’s House.

KP The meeting of the provincial and federal authorities was chaired by Governor Shah Farman, who is also the chancellor of the province’s government universities.

Federal education minister Shafqat Mahmood, special assistant to the KP chief minister on higher education Kamran Bangash, HEC chief Tariq Banuri, and chairman of the prime minister’s task force science and technology Dr. Attaur Rehman attended the meeting to discuss ways and means to resolve university issues.

According to an official statement, the participants addressed administrative, financial, and academic problems at the universities and proposed corrective steps.
