US Dollar Hits ‘Triple Century’ Against Pakistani Rupee in Interbank, Here’s Latest Rate

The US Dollar hits triple century on Thursday by surpassing Rs. 300 against Pakistani Rupee in the interbank.

This escalation marks an increase of Rs. 100 within the past 15 months. In the early hours of Thursday, the dollar was being traded at Rs. 300.37. Earlier this week, the Pakistani currency had dipped to Rs. 299.64 against the US dollar due to consecutive losses.

Amidst the country battling with the worst economic crisis, pressure on the domestic currency has increased due to heightened demand for the USD following the lifting of import restrictions and escalating concerns linked to financing Islamabad’s current account deficit.

The situation poses a serious challenge for the country’s economic status.
