US Negotiations have Progressed But Far From Final Deal, Iran’s Speaker

Iran has said that its talks with the United States are showing some progress, but important differences still remain. Officials stated that a final agreement is not close yet, as both sides continue to disagree on key issues.

Tehran has made it clear that the Strait of Hormuz will remain restricted unless the US removes its naval blockade on Iranian ports. Although the waterway was briefly reopened during ceasefire discussions, tensions quickly returned, and restrictions were reintroduced.

US President Donald Trump described the negotiations as “very good” but also warned that the US would not accept what he called Iranian “blackmail.” This shows that both sides are still cautious and firm in their positions.

At the same time, maritime tensions in the region are increasing. There have been reports of tanker targeting and other security incidents, raising concerns about the safety of global shipping routes.

Countries like Egypt and Pakistan are trying to mediate between the two sides, hoping to achieve a ceasefire soon. However, disagreements over Iran’s uranium stockpile and access to sea routes continue to slow progress.

The situation is becoming more serious as the regional conflict expands. In Lebanon, UN peacekeepers have also faced deadly attacks, adding to concerns about stability.
