Uzbekistan’s cricket development to be aided by the PCB

The Pakistan Cricket Board and the Cricket Federation of Uzbekistan have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the promotion of the game by developing a working relationship to improve the capacity, professionalism, and performance of the game in Uzbekistan as a step toward improving relations between the two countries through cricket diplomacy.

In accordance with the MoU, the PCB would plan, organize and conduct player development programmes, including two high-performance camps for the young players in Lahore. These programmes are intended to develop players in Uzbekistan’s technical, tactical, mental and game skills.

The PCB will also sending its employees to Uzbekistan for game development programmes, including preliminary curator’s courses and basic staff classes, an upgrading course in PCB level 1, an advanced level 2 Coaching courses as well as training courses and analysts at various levels.

The PCB also helps Uzbekistan’s players to develop their lifestyles and guides them on doping, anti-corruption and Code of Conduct duties. The PCB will also examine the option to invite an Uzbekistan squad to participate in domestic events in Pakistan.
