Vizion 33D Tof Sensor for Smartphones launched by Samsung

Samsung has revealed an innovation of a 3D ToF sensor called the ISOCELL Vizion 33D; it can easily track fast-moving objects way better than before with smooth and fast autofocus and video bokeh. This is not it; it can also provide accurate data of distance.

The details are unique features are as follows:

  • The Vizion 33D can easily produce depth maps with a high resolution of 640×480 px.
  • It can measure the distance accurately between 0.2 meters to up to 5 meters.
  • It can also reach low latency tracking for up to 120FPS
  • The sensor, while using the autofocus, uses the 200 mW of power.
  • However, the power consumption can go to 400 mW for the continuous tracking in AR, games, and video bokeh rendering.

None of the elements should quickly drain the smartphone’s battery. The exceptional additional features have a Deep Trench Isolation Technology that can help separate subjects much better than before. This latest technology reduces the cross-talk between the pixels and produces a better bokeh effect on sensors.

Apart from that, the new Vizion 33D sensor of advanced technology can also be used for face unlock, the option to secure your smartphone as well as all the personal sensitive apps. It means that we all may also get to see this latest sensor in selfie cameras and primary cameras of the upcoming phones. Samsung expects to see this ISOCELL Vizion 33D ToF sensor in the upcoming year of 2021 before launching by the other brands.
