According to the official sources the bulk supply of the hydel tariff rate of WAPDA- the Water and Power Development Authority has been decreased by about 27% as by the NEPRA- National Electric Power Regulatory Authority.
NEPRA has recently reduced this hydel tariff and according to the data, an amount is reduced to Rs. 1.56 per unit to about Rs. 4.11 per kWh that includes Rs. 0.96 per kWh of the NHP/hydel levies, and down from about Rs. 5.67 per kWh that included Rs. 3.55 per kWh of NHP/hydel levies.
The hydel levies and hydel benefit have also reduced by the amount of Rs. 2.59 per unit that is from Rs. 3.55 per unit as to Rs. 0.96 per unit by the NEPRA.
