A video featuring a Talabat delivery rider has gone viral, causing a divide among residents and Twitter users. The footage shows the rider parked on the side of the road, opening his delivery carriage and taking a bite of what seems to be a customer’s order.
Many UAE residents have shared the video on Twitter and tagged authorities, calling for action to be taken. Some people showed their support stating that it could be a canceled order otherwise the delivery boy would not be eating in the open. While others suggested some ways to make the food delivery process more secure and transparent.
Talabat has assured that the video was captured in Bahrain and the company is investigating the incident further. Moreover, it has been confirmed that it was a canceled order however, the company has suspended the rider pending further investigation.
