During a day-long visit to the province, Prime Minister Imran Khan inaugurated the Skardu International Airport and the Jaglot-Skardu road.
Previously, Skardu’s airport was solely used for domestic flights. On December 2, however, it received a boost in prestige when it began accepting foreign flights.
The prime minister claimed the facility’s elevation to an international airport will bring incalculable changes to the residents while speaking to a large gathering at Municipal Stadium Skardu.
The prime minister said that Great Britain has the “most stunning mountain landscape in the world,” but lamented that because travel was difficult, people did not know enough about it.
