WhatsApp Announces Four New Features for Users

WhatsApp keep adding new features to provide the most advanced and smooth user experience. As stated by the WaBetaInfo, the four new features updated includes silencing unknown callers, editing sent messages, mention groups in community announcement groups, and community entry points.

The upgrade is only available to beta-users up to now, however it is expected that it will be available to everyone in coming weeks.

Editing Messages

One of the best features added is the ability to edit your sent messages within 15 minutes. As declared by the WaBetaInfo, this time constraint is added to keep the “integrity of conversations”.

Silence Unknown Calls

The beta users can now mute the unknown callers by changing the settings. Go to the ‘privacy’ and open calls settings. This update provides more security and restrains spam calls.

Group Mentions

The community groups admins can now mention groups, assisting greatly in communicating to community members.

Community Entry Point

A new option has been added to the header where community announcement group can be opened instantly. Moreover, by clicking the app-tracking website you can make a group directly.

While, the Beta-Users can avail all these advanced features, everyone is waiting for the updates to be available for all versions.
