WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature allowing users to not only lock their chats but also hide the folder containing these private conversations.
For some beta users, this update enables the hiding of locked chats by entering a ‘secret code’ in the search bar. After applying the secret code, locked chats won’t appear in the chats list, and users can access them by entering the secret code in the search bar.
Some users may also receive the option to clear the list of locked chats within privacy settings, useful for those who forget their secret code. This builds on WhatsApp’s earlier introduction of chat locking with passwords or fingerprints.
