WhatsApp has introduced a new feature that allows users to convert voice messages into text. This update is designed to make communication easier, especially in noisy places or situations where listening to a voice message isn’t convenient.
The feature will be available to users worldwide over the next few weeks. To ensure user privacy, all transcriptions are processed directly on the device, meaning no third party has access to the data.
Users can activate this feature by going to Settings > Chats > Voice Message Transcripts. To transcribe a message, simply long-press the voice note and select the “transcribe” option.
Currently, the feature supports a few languages, including English, Spanish, and Arabic, with plans to add more languages in the future. This new update improves accessibility and offers a practical solution to meet users’ growing needs for flexibility in communication.
