A mother’s shock at finding a Dairy Milk bar that is almost 100 years old hidden beneath her floorboards was unmatched.
While restoring her 1930s property, Emma Young of Plymouth, Devon, pulled down the original floorboards in the bathroom when she uncovered what at first glance appeared to be some trash.
The 51-year-old, however, found a “lovely” rectangular cardboard sleeve with Cadbury’s unmistakable purple wrapper when she grabbed it and wiped the dust off of it.
The curious mother of two wasn’t familiar with it, so she contacted the candy maker to learn more. She was shocked to learn that it had been manufactured between 1930 and 1934.
