World Bank all set to provide $300 Million for the Housing Sector of Pakistan

According to the official sources, Shaukat Tarin, the Federal Minister for Finance and Revenue has recently chaired a meeting at the division of finance in Islamabad to discuss the matters regarding housing sector.

In this meeting the discussion was about all the possibilities of providing an additional fund for housing finance in the country, Pakistan. However, SAPM on the Finance and the Revenue was also present while the discussion was going on in the meeting.

The World Bank country director also shared the proposed credit facilities of the World Bank that are for various interventions in this housing sector that is of $290 Million in total.

Moreover, the director stated that, “World Bank would also support the efforts on the Government in order to boost the housing sector especially for the low-cost housing.”
