Pictures of a small prayer room located at the top of Mecca’s Royal Clock Tower hotel have been shared on social media in Saudi Arabia. This prayer room, known as a “musalla” in Arabic, is situated 600 meters above the ground and 500 meters away from the Kaaba.
It is positioned within the crescent structure of the Royal Clock Tower, which holds the title of the world’s largest clock. The musalla is located at the center of the crescent, specifically inside the letter “l” in the phrase “Allah Akbar” (God is the Greatest).
With a diameter of 23 meters, the musalla is regarded as the closest prayer space to the Kaaba, which attracts over one billion Muslims for their prayers.
