Xiaomi has surpassed Apple in global smartphone sales, marking a big change in the market, according to Counterpoint Research’s Smartphone 360 Monthly Tracker.
Xiaomi’s success is largely due to its updated product lineup and improved marketing strategies. The brand’s Redmi 13 and Note 13 series have become particularly popular in key regions like India, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and the Middle East.
On the other hand, Apple experienced a drop in sales in August, as many customers held off on purchases while waiting for the upcoming iPhone models. This decline allowed Xiaomi to take the lead in smartphone sales.However, Apple is expected to bounce back with the release of the iPhone 16 series.
The new models, including the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max, will feature advanced technology and come in new color options, which are likely to boost sales once again. Despite Xiaomi’s recent growth, Apple is set to reclaim its position soon with these anticipated releases.
