Young Pakistani Entrepreneur Receives MBE in King Charles Honour List

Bilal Bin Saqib, a young entrepreneur from Pakistan, has received the prestigious Most Excellent Order of the British Empire (MBE) for his remarkable humanitarian efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic in the United Kingdom. He was recognized for his initiative called One Million Meals.

Saqib, along with two other Pakistanis, launched One Million Meals with the aim of providing fresh, hot meals to frontline workers in the UK during the challenging times of the pandemic. His unwavering dedication to this cause led to him being honored with the MBE.

Expressing his gratitude and excitement for the award, Saqib said, “I am honored to be part of the King’s Birthday List and thrilled to receive an MBE for my charitable work. I am truly honored. I will continue to do my best to make a difference in the lives of ordinary people; that’s my life’s mission, and I am thankful to His Majesty for this recognition.”

During the 2020 lockdown, One Million Meals delivered over 100,000 meals to National Health Service (NHS) staff, key workers, the homeless, and individuals in need. The campaign received support from renowned sports figures like former footballer David Beckham and boxer Amir Khan. It inspired numerous volunteers to help with communication and deliveries, while local companies generously donated food and healthy beverages.
