With new laptops in the Latitude 3000, 5000 and 7000 series, along with updates to their desktop OptiPlex 3000 and 7000 line up ahead of CES 2021, Dell just went all out for 2021. With the launch of the Precision 3560 and 4 separate displays including a 40-inch ultra-wide WUHD display, Dell has something for the lower-end market as well.
Dell Latitude 9000 series
With the latest Latitude 9420 and 9520, the Latitude series, built for business customers is leading the charge. These laptops will come with a regular clamshell and a form factor of 2-in-1 as well. Packed with the newest Intel vPro CPUs of the 11th generation, it comes with new features such as an automatic, integrated “SafeShutter” webcam to physically block your camera when it is not in use.
The 9420 will come in either a 2-in-1 form factor of 2560 x 1600 or a 1080p laptop setup with a lower resolution. Though storage can be configured with up to 1 TB PCIe NVMe SSD, RAM goes up to 32 GB.
Dell Latitude 7000 series
The Latitude 7520 comes with an Intel Core i7 11th-Gen processor with up to 32GB of RAM. A 15.6-inch display with up to UHD resolution and 1TB M.2 2230 PCIe Gen 3 NVMe storage SSD are available. Nor does it have the SafeShutter feature that is automatic.
Dell Latitude 5000 series
The new 5000 series laptops are also getting the new 11th Gen vPro processors, but in a new environmental step to boost sustainability, they use 21 percent bioplastic material in the lids of the 5000 series laptops.
Laptops and Desktops
The new OptiPlex Ultra 3090 and 7090 are all-in-one compact computers that have been built to fit anywhere. The 11th gen upgrade has also been received by them. The Dell OptiPlex 7090 Ultra is capable of simultaneously handling four 4K displays. Four separate monitors were also announced by Dell.
