The elementary and secondary education department has opted to hire teachers through the parent-teacher council as a stopgap measure to fulfill their immediate needs.
Officials claimed that at first, 1,300 instructors would be hired for the province’s state-run primary, middle, and high schools.
According to them, the provincial government had already sanctioned Rs400 million for the hiring of such educators. They stated that Rs200 million of the total budget would be spent on hiring instructors for primary schools and Rs200 million for middle and high schools across the province.
According to education department officials, the practice of recruiting instructors on a one-year contract would continue until regular teachers are appointed at government primary, middle, and high schools.
