20 Fortuners Per Day! Pakistanis Bought Over 5,600 Fortuners in Just 9 Months

Pakistan’s auto industry is bouncing back strongly. In the first nine months of the 2025 financial year, vehicle sales increased by 50%. Auto loans also reached their highest point in the past 41 months, showing that more people are now willing and able to buy cars.

One of the top performers in this revival is the Toyota Fortuner. This popular SUV sold 5,638 units during the same period, which means nearly 20 units were sold every single day. What’s impressive is that the Fortuner is not a low-cost vehicle—it’s priced at over PKR 1 crore. Yet, it continues to attract buyers, showing that people are now more interested in high-end, premium vehicles.

This shift in consumer behavior points toward two main factors: improving economic conditions and easier access to financing options. As the economy stabilizes, people are more confident in making large purchases like vehicles. Banks and other lenders are also offering better auto loan plans, making it easier for middle- and upper-class buyers to afford expensive models.

The growing demand for SUVs like the Fortuner also shows that consumer preferences are changing. Instead of settling for smaller, more affordable cars, many buyers now want stylish, spacious, and powerful vehicles. This trend reflects rising standards of living and changing lifestyles across urban Pakistan.
