During the parliament address today, President Dr. Arif Alvi stated that 20 Million children are unschooled in Pakistan.
Dr. Alvi summoned both the sessions in the exercise of powers conferred by clause (1) of Article 54 of the Constitution of Pakistan.
According to the Article 56’s third clause, it is mandatory to address the Parliament after every general election and the first session of the parliamentary year to inform the lawmakers of the “causes of its summons”.
During the address, only 12 Parliamentarians attended whereas, the other Parties Boycott the President’s Address.
