Justice Ayesha A. Malik has been honoured with the International Leader/Lifetime Award at the Justitia Awards 2026 Gala in Vienna, Austria, recognising her contributions to law, justice, equality, human rights and the advancement of women in the legal profession.
During her visit to Austria, Justice Malik also participated in the Women in Law Conference 2026, where she shared her experiences and spoke about the importance of equality, women’s rights and greater representation of women within the justice system.
She also reflected on her professional journey and the challenges women judges continue to face in the legal field.
Justice Ayesha Malik made history in 2022 when she became the first woman appointed to Pakistan’s Supreme Court, marking a significant milestone for women in Pakistan’s judiciary.
Her latest international recognition highlights her continued contributions to the legal profession and adds another notable achievement to her distinguished career.
The honour in Vienna also places a spotlight on the growing role of women in leadership, law and public institutions, while recognising efforts toward a more inclusive and equitable legal system.
