573 Pakistani Citizen Evacuated from Sudan, 216 Through Chinese Navy Ship

Pakistan has thanked China for assisting in transporting 216 Pakistani nationals from Port Sudan to Jeddah on board the Chinese naval ship Weishanhu.

Speaking on behalf of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch thanked China for assisting in transporting 216 Pakistani citizens from Port Sudan to Jeddah on board a Chinese naval vessel, the Weishanhu.

As of right now, Pakistan and China have worked together to securely remove 573 Pakistani people from Sudan.The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) has been evacuating stranded Pakistanis from the war-torn Sudan since mid-April, and on Saturday it successfully completed its third operation.

According to a PAF news release, 96 additional stranded Pakistanis from Sudan were brought back to Karachi by a PAF C-130 aircraft, bringing the total number of compatriots being flown out of the crisis zone to 355.
