An Indian women, Reena Verma Chibbar aged 92yrs reached Pakistan on a visit visa of three-months. As soon as she reached her familial home in Prem Niwas Mahalla, situated on DAV College Road, Rawalpindi her old decade neighbors welcomed her with showing rose petals and with beats of drums on which she danced joyfully.
She came back Pakistan after 75 years, visited every room of her familial house and refreshing her old childhood memories, sang a song while standing in balcony and cried by remembering childhood flesh-back.
She migrated to India with her family before partition when she was 15 years old. Verma stated that people living in both sides of borders love eachother and should remain as one.
Her neighbours warmly welcomed her with roses and by playing drums to which she can’t resist and kept dancing on the third of the drums.
When she entered her house, took a look at all the rooms, she kept looking at doors and walls of her house and kept talking about her life back in those days. She told the people about the neighborhood map back in 75 years.
She said that she still saw herself there today, she further said that all the things are still visible to her as she was enjoying the memories of her childhood. Moreover, while remembering her childhood she shared that whenever someone got married all the children of street including her use to run on street as there was happiness all the way round.
She wished to remove all the hayeeee between Pakistan and India and start sharing a state again.
She said that 75 years back even neighbors were considered as a part of family and every neighbor was sad at the time she left. She is unaware where her neighbours are. Added further that those were the golden days.
She confirmed that her same aged people are no more their grand children are living in her house which is her familial house now.
She informed that a local person found and sponsored a visa to her after which she reached Pakistan through Wagah border.
She said that only Hindus use to live in that street there was no Muslim or Sikh before partition. She said that she loves Pakistan and want to visit it again and again.
