Elon Musk ‘s Tesla Engineer Attacked by Robot in ‘Violent’ Malfunction

There are alarming reports from the Tesla Giga Texas factory near Austin, suggesting that a Tesla engineer met a tragic fate during a malfunction involving robots. The incident occurred when the man was working to address issues with two disabled Tesla robots.

Unexpectedly, a robot designed to handle freshly cast aluminum vehicle parts turned hostile, using its metal claws to injure the worker’s back and arm. The result was a distressing scene with a “trail of blood” left on the factory floor.

This disturbing incident was disclosed in a 2021 injury report, indicating that the engineer suffered an “open wound” on his left hand. Astonishingly, the report claimed that the injured worker did not need time off from work.

However, skepticism surrounds the accuracy of injury reporting at the Giga Texas factory, with an attorney representing Tesla’s contract workers arguing that the number of injuries is likely underreported.

Notably, this event comes at a time when concerns about the safety of automated robots in workplaces are on the rise. Instances of injuries related to robotic coworkers in Amazon shipment centers and other industries have fueled debates about the hasty adoption of new technologies.

Reports also suggest that Tesla has a history of underreporting workplace injuries, with inquiries revealing misclassification of accidents to avoid regulatory scrutiny.

The Giga Texas incident raises questions not only about the safety of robotic automation but also about the overall workplace environment at Tesla.

Allegations of unreported deaths, false safety certificates, and ongoing complaints to regulatory bodies like the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) add to the complexity of the situation. The Workers Defense Project has taken issue with Tesla’s contractors, accusing them of providing misleading safety certificates to workers.

As investigations unfold, the incident at Giga Texas underscores the need for a thorough examination of workplace safety practices, particularly as industries increasingly embrace automation and robotics. The tragic outcome serves as a stark reminder of the potential risks associated with advanced technologies in industrial settings.
