The Madinah Municipality has finished making bicycle paths that cover 70 kilometers along main roads and in neighborhoods. This is part of the “Humanization of the City” program, aiming to make life better and encourage sports.
These paths, created over the year, support health and sports awareness for both beginners and pros. They also provide a safe way to move around the city as part of public transportation.
Madinah has more than 165 places to rent bicycles and scooters through the Careem Bike service. These are in neighborhoods and important areas, offering eco-friendly transport for locals and visitors.
The bicycle paths follow safety standards and are for people of all ages and abilities. The plan is to expand the network to cover 220 kilometers by 2025, including 33 important locations in Madinah.
This effort is about making it easier for people to explore and enjoy Madinah. The “Careem Bike” stations will be in historical places and attractions, promoting eco-friendly transportation and encouraging people to use bicycles more in the city.
