The initial schedule for the upcoming ICC T20 World Cup has been confirmed, and it includes a significant match between rivals Pakistan and India in the group stage. The tournament will happen in the United States and the West Indies from June 4 to 30, with 20 teams divided into four groups initially.
Pakistan and India are in the same group with Ireland, Canada, and the United States. A bunch of matches in this stage, including Pakistan’s games, will be in the United States.
Pakistan starts against the USA on June 6, followed by the much-anticipated Pakistan-India match in New York on June 9. The game against Canada is on June 11 in New York, and the one against Ireland is in Florida on June 16.
After this round, the top two teams from each group move to the Super Eight round, divided into two groups. The International Cricket Council (ICC) has shared the schedule with cricket boards and broadcasters for feedback and approval, and the final schedule is expected soon.
