Pakistan’s third operating private airline, AirSial, has been inaugurated by Prime Minister Imran Khan. The new private airline includes well over Rs. 4 billion investments prior to initiation, according to SAPM Usman Dar.
Later today, the Prime Minister will also address supporters and announce five fantastic packages for Sialkot Region. He stated,
“For the construction of a number of projects in the city, a budget of about Rs. 17 billion has been approved.”
Dar stated that these initiatives include improved sewerage systems, clean drinking water purification plants, green park development, and traffic reengineering. “A hospital that will soon be built in Sialkot will also be announced by the Prime Minister,” Dar added.
Initiated by representatives of the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry, AirSial is a joint project venture.
The airline chartered an Airbus A320 last month that landed in Karachi from the U.S. The new private airline is finally expected to launch operations later today. Ahead of the new year, management plans to assign their first flight sequence.
Before expanding operations, AirSial will begin 16 flights between Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, Sialkot and Peshawar. Related business partners and stakeholders hope that in the next two years the airline will go international.
