Made in Pakistan BYD Cars Coming! HUBCO Denies Delay, Confirms $150 Million Plant Launch This Year

HUBCO has confirmed that its BYD vehicle assembly plant in Pakistan remains on track to begin operations by the end of 2026, dismissing reports of any delay.

The company aims to achieve initial monthly sales of 1,000 to 1,500 vehicles as production gradually increases, according to brokerage firm Arif Habib Limited.

The plant will initially depend entirely on imported materials and components, with additional vehicle models expected to be introduced in phases.

In the long run, the company plans to increase local manufacturing and achieve up to 80% local content, supporting the development of Pakistan’s automotive industry.
