In a remarkable display of unity and collaboration, more than 4,000 workers hailing from 75 different nationalities gathered in Dubai to participate in a special iftar meal.

This impressive assembly was not just about sharing a meal; it was a powerful demonstration of unity, symbolized by a massive human formation that spelled out ‘Ramadan in Dubai’ in elegant Arabic script.

The event was orchestrated with precision and care by the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (Iacad) to mark Zayed Humanitarian Day.

Celebrated annually on the 19th day of Ramadan, Zayed Humanitarian Day is a tribute to the humanitarian legacy of the UAE’s founding father, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, the Director-General of Iacad, underscored the significance of the event, highlighting its alignment with Sheikh Zayed’s enduring values and vision.

Sheikh Zayed was renowned for his unwavering commitment to philanthropy, humanitarianism, and global solidarity. His legacy has played a pivotal role in establishing the UAE as a leading nation in charitable and humanitarian initiatives on the global stage.

The iftar gathering was a vibrant tapestry of diversity, bringing together individuals from over 75 different nationalities. To ensure the smooth organization and execution of this grand event, approximately 100 volunteers from various government bodies and community organizations generously contributed their time, efforts, and skills.

Beyond the communal iftar, the event also featured a variety of valuable services and activities provided by participating and sponsoring entities.

These included educational courses designed to enhance attendees’ skills and knowledge, workshops on first aid to equip participants with life-saving techniques and practices, and free medical check-ups facilitated by the Dubai Health Authority to promote and safeguard the health and well-being of the community.

The event in Dubai was more than just a gathering; it was a manifestation of the UAE’s commitment to fostering unity, promoting humanitarian values, and making a positive and meaningful impact both locally and globally.

It served as a powerful testament to the spirit of inclusivity, solidarity, and community engagement that resonates deeply within the heart of the UAE, reflecting the nation’s dedication to building bridges of understanding, compassion, and mutual respect among people from all walks of life.
