During his first meeting with Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir since becoming the president, Asif Ali Zardari acknowledged the important role of the Pakistan Armed Forces. He praised their efforts in protecting the country’s sovereignty and unity.
According to an official statement from the President’s Secretariat, General Munir visited President Zardari at the presidency on Wednesday. He congratulated Zardari on becoming the president of Pakistan and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces. General Munir wished him success in his new role.
General Munir updated the president about the ongoing operations conducted by the Pakistan Army. He also emphasized the army’s readiness to handle any threats to the country.
Moreover, General Munir highlighted the army’s involvement in various development projects, especially in Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) regions.
