Pakistan’s First-Ever Hockey Academy in an Educational Institution Inaugurated

Pakistan is set to give a major boost to women’s hockey with the opening of the country’s first-ever hockey academy at an educational institution. The inauguration ceremony was held on Thursday at Viqar-Un-Nissa Post Graduate College for Women in Rawalpindi. Hanif Abbasi, a Member of the National Assembly (MNA), was the chief guest at the event.

The ceremony was attended by several notable figures. These included MNA Daniyal Chaudhry, Olympian Khawaja Junaid, Political Secretary of the British High Commission Cormic Dreelan, Group Head of Allied Bank Faisal Ghauri, and the Principal of Viqar-Un-Nissa College, Zahida Parveen.
