Pakistan to Export Donkey Meat to China

Export protocols for donkey skins and meat to China have been finalized, as revealed during a meeting of the Senate Standing Committee on Commerce, chaired by Senator Anusha Rahman Ahmad Khan. Additional Secretary Ahsan Ali Mangi confirmed that the protocols for exporting donkey skins are now complete, and there are plans to include donkey meat in the future.

Additionally, the Commerce Ministry has finished the export protocols for onions, potatoes, and chillies to China. However, there are worries that Pakistan’s onion production may not be enough to meet the country’s own demand.

Moreover, a Transit Trade Agreement with Central Asian countries has been finalized, which is expected to boost trade.

On another note, the Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) reported debts amounting to Rs281 billion, raising concerns about circular debt.

State Life Insurance and the National Insurance Company Limited (NICL) also presented their growth efforts and how they are working to build public trust.
