Moon Not Sighted Today, 1st Muharram to be Observed on Monday in Pakistan

The Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has announced that the moon for Muharram ul-Haram was not sighted, which means Ashura will be observed on July 17 across Pakistan. This decision was made because there were no reports of moon sightings.

Ashura, which falls on the 10th of Muharram, is a significant day in Islamic history. It commemorates the martyrdom of Imam Hussain (RA) and his companions during the Battle of Karbala.

This event holds great importance for Muslims, as it marks a day of mourning and reflection on the sacrifices made by Imam Hussain and his followers.

The committee’s announcement provides clarity for the observance of Ashura, ensuring that people across the country can prepare for this important day. Ashura is not only a time to remember the historical events of Karbala but also an occasion for Muslims to come together in solidarity and prayer.
