Gold prices in Pakistan reached a new all-time high on Wednesday. According to the Karachi Sarafa Association, the price of 24-carat gold jumped by Rs. 2,300 per tola, bringing it to Rs. 264,000. The price for 10 grams of gold also went up by Rs. 1,972, now at Rs. 226,337.
This new price is higher than the previous record of Rs. 263,700 per tola set last month. The rise in gold prices comes as gold prices are also increasing globally.
In the international market, gold prices went up as the US dollar weakened. Spot gold increased by 0.2 percent to $2,524.54 per ounce, and US gold futures went up by 0.4 percent to $2,553.80.
The market is watching for upcoming US inflation data, which might affect future gold prices.
