Breaking!! Mohammad Amir Announces Retirement from International Cricket

Pakistani fast bowler Mohammad Amir has announced his retirement from international cricket for the second time.

Amir, who made a comeback earlier this year to play for Pakistan in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, shared the news on social media platform X. He called it a “difficult but inevitable” decision.

The 32-year-old pacer started his international career in 2009 and went on to play 36 Test matches, 61 ODIs, and 62 T20Is, taking a total of 271 wickets across formats. Known for his talent and ability to swing the ball, Amir was a key player for Pakistan during his career.

In his announcement, Amir thanked the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), his fans, and his family for their unwavering support throughout his journey.

Amir had previously retired from international cricket in 2020, citing personal reasons and issues with the PCB. However, he reversed that decision in 2024, briefly returning to represent Pakistan before deciding to step away permanently.

His departure marks the end of a remarkable cricketing career, filled with highs and challenges. Amir’s contributions to Pakistan cricket, especially in high-pressure games, will be remembered by fans and teammates alike.
