Pakistan to Ease Visa Policy for Cricket Fans Globally PAKSI During Champions Trophy

Pakistan will make it easier for cricket fans from around the world to get visas for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, according to Information Minister Attaullah Tarar.

At the closing ceremony of the Champions T20 Cup, Tarar announced that the visa process would be simplified for international fans attending the tournament. This news came after the ICC released the official fixtures and groups for the event, which will start on February 19, 2025, in Karachi.

The tournament will have eight teams and 15 matches, which will be held in both Pakistan and Dubai. Tarar highlighted that most of the matches would take place in Pakistan, giving the country a chance to showcase its culture and tourism.

He also expressed disappointment that India had refused to visit Pakistan for the event and urged that sports should remain separate from politics. The matches will be held in Pakistan’s cricket venues, including Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, with the second semi-final scheduled to be played in Lahore.

This move to simplify the visa process aims to encourage global participation and enhance the experience for fans traveling to Pakistan for the prestigious tournament.
