CM Punjab Announces to Build Pakistan’s First AI University

Punjab is set to establish Pakistan’s first-ever university dedicated to artificial intelligence (AI), as announced by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz. The university will offer advanced programs in AI, robotics, machine learning, and other cutting-edge fields of science and technology. This groundbreaking initiative aims to position Pakistan as a competitive player in the global tech landscape.

The announcement was made during a laptop distribution ceremony in Faisalabad. Speaking at the event, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz highlighted the importance of investing in education and technology to empower the youth. She stressed that providing students with the tools and knowledge to excel in these advanced fields is crucial for ensuring Pakistan’s future competitiveness on the global stage.

In addition to the AI university, the Chief Minister unveiled a comprehensive student support initiative. This program will provide students with loans of up to Rs. 30 million, enabling them to pursue higher education, take up part-time jobs, or launch their own businesses. To further encourage entrepreneurship, the government will also provide free land to students, helping them establish their ventures and contribute positively to society.

This series of initiatives reflects the Punjab government’s commitment to nurturing talent and fostering innovation among the youth, ultimately driving Pakistan’s progress in technology and education.
