Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced that people from Saudi Arabia can now travel to Pakistan without needing a visa. He shared this news after a meeting in Islamabad with the Saudi Ambassador, Nawaf bin Saeed Ahmad Al-Malkiy.
During their meeting, both sides talked about ways to improve the relationship between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. They discussed making travel easier, working together more closely on safety and security issues, and strengthening cooperation in law enforcement.
Minister Naqvi thanked Saudi Arabia for its ongoing support. He especially appreciated Saudi help during a recent international conference focused on fighting drug-related crimes. He said their involvement showed a strong friendship between the two countries.
Naqvi also spoke about some of the changes Pakistan is making to improve its systems. He mentioned that the government is working hard to modernize the passport and ID documentation process. He added that efforts are being made to reduce street crimes and stop groups that force people into begging.
Another important point he shared was that with the help of Saudi authorities, five Pakistani citizens who had been wrongly accused and jailed in Saudi Arabia have now been released and allowed to return home. He expressed deep gratitude for this gesture of goodwill.
At the end of the meeting, both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia agreed to keep working together to grow their strategic and economic relationship. They promised to support each other and build an even stronger partnership in the future.
