During the current fiscal year, the Ehsaas Waseela-e-Taleem Program has set a goal of enrolling an additional 1.75 million students.
One million primary school pupils, 500,000 secondary school students, and 225,000 higher secondary school students will participate in the initiative.
Students in secondary and higher secondary schools will begin receiving scholarships after the first quarter of the current fiscal year is completed.
The ministry of social security and poverty reduction has increased the program’s scope from primary to secondary and higher secondary education.
Primary school boys are given Rs 1,500 every quarter, while primary school girls are given Rs 2,000.
Secondary school boys will now be paid Rs 2,500 every quarter, while secondary school girls will be paid Rs 3,000.
Boys in higher secondary school will get Rs 3,500 per quarter, while females will get Rs4,000. In addition, girls who pass class V would receive Rs 3,000.
