THE NEWLY ESTABLISHED ATC COMPLEX AT FAISALABAD AIRPORT BECOMES OPERATIONAL

According to the Sunday news report, a recently build ATC (air traffic control) with modern technology as per international standards at Faisalabad airport, becomes operational.

As per the statement of the airport manager, this complex took six months to be fully completed, with a cost of Rs40 million.

Previously in this month, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had green-lighted Air Arabia Airlines to run 4 flights to & from Faisalabad & Multan once in a week.

According to CAA authorities, the low-cost Emirati airline (Air Arabia) would activate 2 weekly flights between Abu Dhabi & Multan & 2 flights between Abu Dhabi & Faisalabad.

Last month, the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) had given permission to increase the number of flights up to 40% to five other countries.

Since, because of the lower height of the old ATC it was sometimes very problematic to control planes at the airport, that’s why this new ATC complex is established at the height of 120 feet.
